Capturing Couture Giveaway- Winner Announced!

Congratulations to Rhonda Grisham...she was the number 21 which was drawn as the winner of a Capturing Couture Camera Strap!

Capturing Couture Camera Strap Review & Giveaway!

Black

“Capturing Couture was founded by two working moms, with obsessive creative passion, spirited ambition, and a fearless hands on work ethic to make magic happen…”

I was so excited to receive the little black box from Capturing Couture and take out my beautiful Sophia Black 2” Camera Strap from the Tapestry Collection. It was presented nicely enough that I could have given it as a gift without having to change anything.  And what a gift these straps would make for anyone who loves to accessorize!

Sofia-Black-WEB

It is made from lush, high quality and gorgeous materials.  It matches my personal style perfectly…so, yes…I LOVE it.  With options like, Boho, Artisan, Tropical, Silks, Tapestry and Organza Collections it would be easy to find the perfect match for your taste.  Or several matches! These straps are for anyone with a camera and there is even a line of masculine designs.

I cannot deny that Capturing Couture camera straps make the “ultimate fashion statement” but the quality and functionality are even more impressive.

This strap seems exceptionally durable and strong enough for me to feel safe using it with my heavy DSLR.  It has metal findings and attaches to the camera traditionally and securely.  The part that goes around your neck is padded and velvet lined…what a luxury!  If you’ve ever lugged around a beast of a camera then you will really appreciate the extra care taken to ensure your comfort.

I think I need one for every outfit!

Jividen's Princess Party: Royal Review

Our princess party was a huge success! The garden was green and lush and filled with dewy blooms. Pink and yellow decorations accented the natural beauty and there was loads of pampering and fun to be had by all the lovely little princesses. They were greeted by a violinist and welcomed by a court of ladies. There were sparkles, tiaras, wands, makeup, bubbles, and pretty princesses as far as the eye could see!

The food was delicious and carefully planned to treat our special guests.

When the Royal Princess McKenna graced us with her presence, little eyes were wide and the girls gathered around to meet her.

Bubbles the clown created beautiful painted jewelry for our princesses and they practiced their “princess wave” with gems, swirls, and glitter adorned arms.

The awesome "photographers to the royals" were there to capture the amazing time had by all.
Check out all the official photos!

Myles

This little guy was so sweet! We had a great time doing his session. We get really excited to use some of our awesome new "Oh, Baby!" sets and props!

Kiddy Pool Safety Tips

Last week was blazing hot so we decided it was time break out a new kiddy pool. I am always vigilent when it comes to the safety of my children so I found these simple tips to share for observing pool safety:

"Even shallow wading pools can pose safety risks.  Very small children can drown in only an inch or two of water. You should always supervise your children when they are playing around water, and tell your children they are never allowed to play in the pool when an adult isn’t available to keep an eye on them.

Don’t allow excessively rough horseplay, and never allow any child to hold another child’s head under the water, even briefly in fun.  The area around a pool will be slippery and wet, so discourage running.

Empty the pool after each use for absolute safety (and to prevent attracting bugs and wildlife).  Nobody can drown in an empty pool!  It may be inconvenient to dump and refill larger kiddy pools, but some come with covers.  Use the cover without fail, but remember that a child can still get into a covered pool.

Dumping the pool each time it’s used and then refilling it is best, but may not be practical with larger pools.  Buy a skimmer to remove grass and debris, and keep the pool covered when it isn’t being used.  If the water turns brackish, it’s time to change the water so the little swimmers don’t get skin rashes or infections.

Discourage kids from drinking pool water or letting in splash in their mouths, even if it looks clean.  Call a bathroom break often enough to keep them from using it as a potty, as kids will tend to do.  Swim diapers can’t be counted on to prevent contamination.  Change diapers away from the pool area, and not on the towels or lawn furniture nearby." -http://blog.safetypoolcover.org

One last tip...don't get your camera too close to a 4 year old in a pool!
